Svete

Overview

The Svete is the most common and structurally basic fauna within the Vita Filorum ecosystem. Visually, it is a small, harmless, and surprisingly "cute" cleaner animal that naturally grazes on local plant life. Spawned in high volumes by a Prolific - typically at a ratio of ten Svetes for every one Seeker - it is a docile workhorse for the network.

Crucially, the Svete is one of the very few entities in the Vita Filorum that is entirely self-sufficient. Because it possesses its own functioning digestive system and metabolic cycle, it can survive fully severed from the network's tethers, making it a vital, mobile asset for gathering and storing organic energy.

Operation Protocols

Despite its harmless nature, the Svete’s primary purpose is to be exploited by the highly dangerous, specialised members of the Vita Filorum. It acts simultaneously as a pack mule, a pollinator, and a living blood-bag.

Mutualistic Pollination

• Dispatcher Courier: Because a Dispatcher is tethered to the ground and restricted in its movement, it relies entirely on the Svete to interact with its seeds. The Svete physically collects the smoke-like seeds and transports them across the environment.
• Payload Management: Depending on the localised calculations of the Dispatcher, the Svete can be instructed to throw seeds into the wind, bury them for covert expansion, or simply eat them to cull excess numbers and absorb their nutrients.

The Living Battery

• Infiltration Support: When a Seeker and Hunter team detaches to infiltrate a human dwelling, they lose connection to the biological sustenance of the broader network. To survive the weeks-long wait in a human home, they bring several Svetes with them.
• Parasitic Draining: The Seeker will carry Svetes on its back or abdomen, physically leashing them via tethers to itself and the hidden Hunter. The predatory entities then use the Svete as a living IV drip, slowly siphoning its gathered biomass to keep their own muscles and processors alive without having to hunt prematurely.

Interaction Logic

Because it operates as a tool for other fauna, the Svete rarely interacts with a Singularity. Instead, it receives Direct (Effector to Effector) commands (DCT) from its host or master.

• Seed Directives: A Dispatcher dictates the Svete's exact interaction with a seed payload via direct instruction (DPR-DRT*-DCT$SVT-TRW-[INTENSITY]).
• Sustenance Protocol (Slow Feed): A Seeker manages its long-term survival by commanding the Svete's cells to slowly yield nutrients via low-intensity apoptosis: SKR-NTR-DCT$SVT-APP-L.
• Terminal Purge (Execution): Seconds before a Hunter initiates a lethal ambush on a human, it will fully drain and kill its attached Svete, forcefully extracting every last ounce of its biomass to fuel a massive burst of kinetic energy: HTR-NTR-DCT$SVT-TRM-H.
